बीते वर्ष (2024) रुद्रप्रयाग विधायक श्री भरत सिंह चौधरी के संरक्षण में राजकीय इंटर कॉलेज बुढना में पहली बार इस मेले का आयोजन किया गया था। मेले को मिले जन समर्थन को देखते हुए इस वर्ष इस मेले को चार दिवसीय *लस्या कौथिग* के रूप में विस्तारित किया जा रहा है।

रुद्रप्रयाग विधायक के जन संपर्क अधिकारी व *लस्या कौथिग* के संयोजक श्री भूपेंद्र भंडारी ने मेले से संबंधित तैयारियों व मुख्य आकर्षण के बारे में जानकारी देते हुए बताया कि लस्या कौथिग में हिमालय की अधिष्ठात्री देवी नंदा देवी भव्य झांकी के साथ ही उत्तराखंड के कुमाऊं अंचल का प्रसिद्ध छोलिया नृत्य, उत्तराखंड के बच्चों का पारंपरिक त्योहार फूलदेई की झांकी, जिसमें स्कूली बच्चे, पेशेवर कलाकार तथा पारम्परिक वेशभूषा में मातृ शक्ति की भागीदारी रहेगी।

उन्होंने बताया कि मेले में नंदा की कथा नाटिका, खैट पर्वत की परियों के मिथ से जुड़ी जीतू बगड़वाल की अधूरी प्रेम कहानी का भावपूर्ण मंचन, महाभारत के युद्ध पर आधारित, रोमांच और करुणा से भरी केदारघाटी की विश्वविख्यात पंड्वाणी शैली में लोक नाट्य चक्रव्यूह की प्रस्तुति, क्षेत्र के वीर सपूत, वीरता और पराक्रम के प्रतीक माधो सिंह भंडारी के जीवन पर आधारित भावनात्मक नाटिका का मंचन किया जाएगा।

इसके साथ ही उत्तराखंड की समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक परंपरा के सदेई, चैती, बाजूबंद तथा महिला मंगल दलों द्वारा पारंपरिक गीतों की सांस्कृतिक प्रस्तुतियां दी जाएंगी।

उन्होंने बताया कि उक्त आयोजित कौथिग में संविधान निर्माता डॉ. भीमराव अंबेडकर, वीर भड़ माधो सिंह भंडारी, पर्वतीय गांधी इंद्रमणि बडोनी, तथा जखोली ब्लॉक के संस्थापक राणा सत्ये सिंह के जीवन पर आधारित जानकारियां वक्ताओं द्वारा प्रस्तुत की जाएंगी। इसके अलावा स्थानीय टीम (पिंटू भाई) द्वारा *ब्लड डोनेट कैंप* का भी आयोजन किया जाएगा।
