जिलाधिकारी ने कहा कि आपदा न्यूनीकरण से जुड़े कार्य सुधारात्मक प्रकृति के होते हैं, जिन्हें जनहित और सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से प्राथमिकता के आधार पर किया जाना आवश्यक है। उन्होंने बताया कि तहसील स्तर और विभिन्न विभागों से प्राप्त नदियों के चैनलाइजेशन और ड्रेजिंग से संबंधित प्रस्तावों को समिति ने स्वीकृति प्रदान कर दी है। साथ ही विभागों को निर्देश दिए गए हैं कि सभी कार्यों को समयबद्ध तरीके से पूरा किया जाए।

अपर जिलाधिकारी (वित्त एवं राजस्व) केके मिश्रा ने बताया कि पूर्व में आपदाग्रस्त और आपदा संभावित क्षेत्रों के लिए विभिन्न विभागों से प्रस्ताव प्राप्त हुए थे। इनमें नदी चैनलाइजेशन, रिवर ड्रेसिंग और आरक्षित वन क्षेत्रों में भूस्खलन उपचार से जुड़े कार्य शामिल हैं। मार्च माह में ही इन कार्यों को स्वीकृति दे दी गई है, ताकि विभागों को कार्य पूरा करने के लिए पर्याप्त समय मिल सके।

बैठक में हरिपुर कालसी क्षेत्र में यमुना नदी तट पर श्रद्धालुओं की सुरक्षा के लिए घाट निर्माण, सहिया क्षेत्र में कालसी-चकराता मोटर मार्ग पर जजरेड के क्रॉनिक लैंडस्लाइड जोन में भूस्खलन न्यूनीकरण कार्य तथा जनपद के विभिन्न नदी तटों के 28 संवेदनशील स्थलों पर चैनलाइजेशन कार्य को आवश्यक मानते हुए सशर्त मंजूरी दी गई।

इसके अलावा राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग-507 के किमी 13-14 पर यमुना नदी स्थित पुल पर एबटमेंट स्कप्पर निर्माण, नदी प्रवाह का चैनलाइजेशन, दोनों तटों पर कर्टेन वॉल और अन्य सुरक्षात्मक कार्य, किमी 24 बोसाना और किमी 26 व्यासी में भूस्खलन उपचार, भानियावाला-ऋषिकेश मार्ग पर चंद्रभागा नदी किनारे रिवर ड्रेसिंग तथा जाखन ब्रिज के अपस्ट्रीम में मलबा हटाने जैसे कार्यों के लिए संयुक्त समिति गठित की गई है। यह समिति स्थलीय निरीक्षण कर रिपोर्ट प्रस्तुत करेगी, जिसके आधार पर आगे की कार्रवाई की जाएगी।

बैठक में जिला पंचायत अध्यक्ष एवं समिति की सह-अध्यक्ष सुखविंदर सिंह कौर, प्रभागीय वनाधिकारी नीरज कुमार, लोक निर्माण विभाग के अधीक्षण अभियंता ओपी सिंह, राष्ट्रीय राजमार्ग के अधिशासी अभियंता सुरेश तोमर, क्षेत्राधिकारी विवेक कोटियाल, जिला आपदा प्रबंधन अधिकारी ऋषभ कुमार सहित अन्य अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे। वहीं उपजिलाधिकारी और विभिन्न विभागों के अधिकारी वर्चुअल माध्यम से बैठक में शामिल हुए।
