वर्तमान में जनपद की प्रतिदिन दुग्ध मांग लगभग 2500 लीटर है और 1900 लीटर उत्पादन किया जा रहा है, जिलाधिकारी ने जिसे शीघ्र पूरा करने के लिए मिशन मोड में कार्य किए जाने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने सहायक निदेशक, डेयरी को दुग्ध उत्पादन बढ़ाने हेतु एक प्रभावी, व्यवहारिक एवं समयबद्ध प्रोजेक्ट तैयार करने तथा एक सप्ताह के भीतर स्पष्ट टाइमलाइन प्रस्तुत करने के निर्देश दिए।
जिलाधिकारी ने 15 निष्क्रिय दुग्ध सहकारी समितियों को तत्काल सक्रिय करने, सक्रिय समितियों को और अधिक सुदृढ़ करने तथा आगामी चार माह में जनपद की संपूर्ण दुग्ध मांग स्थानीय स्तर पर पूरी करने पर जोर दिया। उन्होंने कहा कि दुग्ध उत्पादन बढ़ाने में जहां भी कोई व्यावहारिक समस्या आएगी, वहां प्रशासन स्तर से हर संभव सहायता उपलब्ध कराई जाएगी।
जिलाधिकारी ने निर्देश दिए कि दुग्ध उत्पादन में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करने वाले काश्तकारों को मास्टर ट्रेनर के रूप में विकसित किया जाए, ताकि वे अन्य पशुपालकों से अपने अनुभव साझा कर सकें। साथ ही पशुपालकों को विभागीय योजनाओं का अधिकतम लाभ दिलाने के लिए व्यापक जागरूकता अभियान चलाने एवं तकनीकी सहायता उपलब्ध कराने के निर्देश भी दिए गए।
बैठक में सहायक निदेशक, डेयरी अनुराग मिश्रा ने बताया कि वर्तमान में जनपद में 169 दुग्ध सहकारी समितियां गठित हैं, जिनके माध्यम से प्रतिदिन लगभग 1900 लीटर दुग्ध उपार्जन किया जा रहा है।
