अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति की ओर से भारत पर 25 फीसदी अतिरिक्त टैरिफ लगाने पर विदेश मंत्रालय ने कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया दी है। भारतीय विदेश मंत्रालय ने बयान जारी कर अमेरिका के फैसले को दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बताया. MEA ने कहा कि भारत अपने राष्ट्रीय हितों की रक्षा के लिए सभी आवश्यक कदम उठाएगा।
भारत के विदेश मंत्रालय ने बयान जारी कर कहा, ‘हाल के दिनों में, संयुक्त राज्य अमेरिका ने रूस से भारत के तेल आयात को निशाना बनाया है। हमने इन मुद्दों पर अपनी स्थिति पहले ही स्पष्ट कर दी है, जिसमें यह तथ्य भी शामिल है कि हमारे आयात बाजार के कारकों पर आधारित हैं और भारत के 1.4 अरब लोगों की ऊर्जा सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित करने के समग्र उद्देश्य से किए जाते हैं।
MEA ने ट्रंप के एक्स्ट्रा टैरिफ को दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण बताते हुए कहा, ‘यह अत्यंत दुर्भाग्यपूर्ण है कि अमेरिका ने भारत पर उन कार्यों के लिए अतिरिक्त शुल्क लगाने का विकल्प चुना है जो कई अन्य देश भी अपने राष्ट्रीय हित में कर रहे हैं. हम दोहराते हैं कि ये कार्य अनुचित और अविवेकपूर्ण हैं। भारत अपने राष्ट्रीय हितों की रक्षा के लिए सभी आवश्यक कदम उठाएगा।
अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति डोनाल्ड ट्रंप ने रूस से तेल खरीद जारी रखने पर बुधवार (6 अगस्त 2025) को भारतीय सामानों पर अतिरिक्त 25 फीसदी टैरिफ लगाने के कार्यकारी आदेश पर हस्ताक्षर कर दिए इसके साथ ही भारतीय उत्पादों पर अमेरिका में लगने वाला शुल्क अब बढ़कर 50 फीसदी हो गया है ।प्रारंभिक शुल्क सात अगस्त से प्रभावी होगा जबकि अतिरिक्त शुल्क 21 दिन बाद लागू होगा।
