उत्तराखंड के बहुचर्चित अंकिता भंडारी हत्याकांड में कोटद्वार की जिला अदालत ने तीनों आरोपियों पुलकित आर्य, सौरभ भास्कर और अंकित गुप्ता को दोषी करार दिया है। कोर्ट ने पुलकित आर्य को आईपीसी की विभिन्न धाराओं के तहत आजीवन कारावास और जुर्माने की सजा सुनाई गई और उसके सह आरोपी सौरभ भास्कर और अंकित गुप्ता को भी आजीवन कारावास और जुर्माना लगाया गया है। अंकिता के परिवार को 4 लाख रुपये का मुआवजा दिया गया है।
अंकिता भंडारी मामले में दो साल आठ महीने चली सुनवाई के बाद आज उसे न्याय मिला है। यह केस सितंबर 2022 से चल रहा था। कोर्ट ने दोनों पक्षों को सुनने के बाद ये फैसला सुनाया। अंकिता वनतरा रिजॉर्ट में रिसेप्शनिस्ट के तौर पर काम करती थी, उसकी हत्या का आरोप इस रिजॉर्ट के मालिक पुलकित आर्य पर लगा था। पुलकित आर्य तत्कालीन बीजेपी नेता विनोद आर्य का बेटा है। ये मामला सामने आने के बाद बीजेपी ने उन्हें पार्टी से निकाल दिया था। बता दें कि 28 अगस्त को अंकिता ने ऋषिकेश के यमकेश्वर ब्लॉक स्थित वनतरा रिज़ॉर्ट में रिसेप्शनिस्ट के तौर पर काम करना शुरू किया था, 17 सितंबर को अंकिता का रिजॉर्ट के मालिक पुलकित आर्य से विवाद हो गया था। जिसके बाद उसे एक अलग कमरे में शिफ्ट कर दिया गया। जिसके बाद वो 18 सितंबर को संदिग्ध हालात में गायब हो गई।
अंकिता के गायब होने के बाद परिवार ने कई पुलिस थानों में शिकायत दर्ज कराने की कोशिश की, लेकिन एफआईआर दर्ज नहीं हो पा रही थी। रिजॉर्ट के मालिक पुलकित आर्य ने राजस्व पुलिस को अंकिता के लापता होने की सूचना दी, लेकिन कोई कार्रवाई नहीं हुई। इस बीच अंकिता का एक ऑडियो भी सामने आया जिसमें वो मदद मांगती हुई सुनाई दे रही थी। अंकिता का शव ऋषिकेश के पास चीला नहर से बरामद हुआ। दावा किया गया कि विवाद के बाद पुलकित ने अंकिता को नहर में धक्का दे दिया था। पुलिस ने इस मामले में रिजॉर्ट के मालिक पुलकित आर्य और उसके दो सहयोगियों सौरभ भास्कर और अंकित गुप्ता को गिरफ्तार किया गया। उत्तराखंड सरकार ने मामले की जांच के लिए विशेष जांच दल (SIT) का गठन किया. जिसके बाद आरोपियों पर गैंगस्टर एक्ट के तहत भी केस दर्ज किया गया।
SIT ने 500 पन्नों की चार्जशीट दाखिल की, जिसमें 97 गवाहों के बयान शामिल थे एसआईटी ने पुलकित आर्य पर हत्या, छेड़छाड़ और अनैतिक तस्करी के आरोप लगाए गए। 30 जनवरी 2023 को मामले की पहली सुनवाई हुई। जिसके बाद पक्ष और विपक्ष की ओर से दलीलों का सिलसिला शुरू हुआ। करीब दो साल आठ महीने चली सुनवाई के दौरान अभियोजन पक्ष ने 97 लोगों को गवाह बनाया जिनमें से 47 गवाहों को कोर्ट में पेश किया गया 19 मई 2025 को अभियोजन पक्ष के वकील अवनीश नेगी की ओर से बचाव पक्ष दलीलों का जवाब दिया गया जिसके बाद सुनवाई खत्म हुई। आज कोटद्वार की अदालत ने पुलकित आर्य, सौरभ भास्कर और अंकित गुप्ता को अंकिता हत्याकांड का दोषी करार दिया और तीनों को आजीवन कारावास और जुर्माने की सजा सुनाई है।
