पुलिस महानिदेशक दीपम सेठ द्वारा प्रदेश में कानून व्यवस्था के दृष्टिगत गढ़वाल व कुमाऊँ रेंज प्रभारी सहित समस्त SSP/SPs के साथ वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के माध्यम से अपराध एवं अपराधियों के विरुद्ध की गयी कार्यवाही की समीक्षा की गयी।
मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी के विरुद्ध चलाये गये विशेष अभियान में अब तक 427 अभियोग पंजीकृत करते हुए मादक पदार्थों की तस्करी में लिप्त 591 अभियुक्तों को गिरफ्तार कर उनके पास से 24.25 करोड़ कीमत के 936.56 कि.ग्रा. मादक पदार्थ बरामद किये गये हैं।
अभियान के दौरान 26 अपराधियों को गैंगस्टर एक्ट के अन्तर्गत निरुद्ध करते हुए 15 अभियुक्तों द्वारा अवैध रूप से अर्जित की गयी लगभग 1.74 करोड़ कीमत की सम्पत्ति अधिग्रहित की गयी। इस विशेष अभियान को 31 मार्च, 2025 तक बढ़ाये जाने का निर्णय लिया गया है।
समीक्षा के दौरान पुलिस महानिदेशक, उत्तराखण्ड महोदय द्वारा निम्न दिशा-निर्देश निर्गत किये गये-
विभिन्न अपराधों में लिप्त वांछित अपराधियों की गिरफ्तारी, पुरस्कार घोषित अपराधियों की गिरफ्तारी, गैर जमानतीय/कुर्की वारण्टों की तामील हेतु 01 माह का विशेष अभियान चलाये जाने हेतु निर्देशित किया गया।
गंभीर आपराधिक घटनाओं में लापरवाही व शिथिलता बरतने वाले सम्बन्धित थानाध्यक्षों और चौकी प्रभारियों की जवाबदेही तय की जाए।
लम्बित विवेचनओं की समीक्षा करते हुए दोनों परिक्षेत्र प्रभारियों को अपने निकट पर्यवेक्षण में निस्तारण कराए जाने के निर्देश दिए गए।
सभी जनपद प्रभारियों को लगातार पुलिस विसिबिलिटी बढ़ाते हुए प्रभावी रात्रि गश्त, पैट्रोलिंग, नाका/बैरियर्स पर सघन चैकिंग कराने तथा भीड़-भाड़ वाले महत्वपूर्ण स्थानों पर पैदल गश्त कराने हेतु निर्देशित किया गया।
