देहरादून। स्वामी राम हिमालयन विश्वविद्यालय का आठवां दीक्षांत समारोह गरिमामय वातावरण में आयोजित हुआ। समारोह में केंद्रीय स्वास्थ्य एवं परिवार कल्याण तथा रसायन एवं उर्वरक मंत्री जेपी नड्डा मुख्य अतिथि और मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी विशिष्ट अतिथि के रूप में शामिल हुए।

केंद्रीय मंत्री ने विभिन्न संकायों में डिग्री प्राप्त करने वाले 1001 छात्र-छात्राओं को शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि दीक्षांत केवल शैक्षणिक पड़ाव नहीं, बल्कि जीवन की नई यात्रा की शुरुआत है। डिग्री के साथ मानव निर्माण और समाज के प्रति उत्तरदायित्व भी जुड़ा होता है। उन्होंने युवाओं से आह्वान किया कि वे अपनी शिक्षा का उपयोग मानवता, गरीब और अंतिम पंक्ति में खड़े व्यक्ति के कल्याण के लिए करें।

राज्य के शिक्षा एवं स्वास्थ्य मंत्री धन सिंह रावत ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड स्वास्थ्य सुविधाओं के विकास में लगातार आगे बढ़ रहा है और इसमें संस्थान का महत्वपूर्ण योगदान है।

समारोह में मेडिकल, एलाइड हेल्थ, नर्सिंग, मैनेजमेंट, इंजीनियरिंग, योग विज्ञान और बायो-साइंसेज संकायों के 1001 छात्र-छात्राओं को डिग्रियां प्रदान की गईं। 31 विद्यार्थियों को अकादमिक अवार्ड, दो को स्वामी राम बेस्ट ग्रेजुएट अवार्ड तथा 14 शोधार्थियों को पीएचडी की उपाधि दी गई।

इस अवसर पर सेंटर फॉर डिस्टेंस एंड ऑनलाइन एजुकेशन (सीडीओई) का ऑनलाइन शुभारंभ भी किया गया। विश्वविद्यालय को एनएएसी से ए प्लस ग्रेड मिलने के कारण यहां संचालित पाठ्यक्रम यूजीसी से मान्यता प्राप्त हैं, जिससे विद्यार्थियों को गुणवत्तापूर्ण ऑनलाइन शिक्षा उपलब्ध होगी।
