    Einsatz.
    Es gibt einen vorbereitenden (propädeutischen) Kurs für den englisch gehaltenen Erdkundeunterricht in Klasse 6 und 7.
    In Klasse eight wird auch Geschichte und in Klasse 9 und 10 Biologie auf Englisch unterrichtet.
    In der Oberstufe kann ein fünfstündiger Biologiekurs auf
    Englisch gewählt werden.
    Wir möchten auch den Jüngsten qualifiziertes Volleyball-Training anbieten und so den Einstieg in diese Sportart ermöglichen.
    Zudem suchen wir gezielt nach besonders talentierten Schülern, die im leistungsorientierten Volleyball erfolgreich sein wollen. Diesen soll der Einstieg ins
    Vereinstraining erleichtert werden, indem sie in der Schule ‘abgeholt’ werden. Wir sind eine Eliteschule des Deutschen Olympischen Sportbundes (DSOB), das bedeutet, dass viele unserer Schülerinnen und Schüler mit hohem zeitlichen Aufwand und Engagement Leistungssport betreiben.
    Damit dabei auch die schulische Entwicklung optimal gefördert wird, gibt es ein spezielles Unterstützungssystem an unserer Schule.

    Seit das Gymnasium als G8 strukturiert ist, hat die Ausgleichsfunktion sportlicher
    Bewegung (z.B. an den Spielgeräten in der Pause
    und während der Betreuung in der Mittagspause)
    im Rahmen des Schulalltags an Bedeutung gewonnen. Für viele gehört der Schneesportaufenthalt der achten Klassen in Mayerhofen zu den unvergesslichen Erlebnissen der Schulzeit.

    Dank zweier ans Schulgebäude angeschlossener Hallen (Helmholtz-Halle und Sportzentrum Mitte),
    die vorrangig dem Helmholtz-Gymnasium zur Verfügung stehen, hat die
    Schule sehr gute Bedingungen für den Sportunterricht.
    Den Grundpfeiler für die Entwicklung des Hauses bildete zunächst die Sicherstellung einer hochqualitativen Grund-
    und Regelversorgung. Darauf aufbauend wurde nach und nach der
    Auf- und Ausbau spezialisierter Fachabteilungen und medizinischen Zentren vorangetrieben.
    Marius Contzen als neuer Chefarzt für die Anästhesie und Intensivmedizin sowie Dr.
    med. Gemeinsam mit der im Haus bereits vorhandenen Gastroenterologie unter dem damaligen Chefarzt Dr.
    Jürgen Grüger, gründete Dr. Jonescheit das Zentrum für Verdauungsorgane.
    Klasse stellen interessierte Eltern, deren Kinder gerne am bilingualen Unterricht teilnehmen möchten, einen Antrag.

    Zu Beginn des Jahres 2016 steckte das Haus tief in den roten Zahlen. Zahlreiche Stationen mussten geschlossen werden und das HGH stand kurz vor der Schließung.
    Erst mit der Übernahme durch die Artemed Gruppe im Juli
    2016 ging es wieder bergauf. Das HGH1-Team erreichte
    einen Sieg, das HGH2-Team erzielte ebenfalls einen Sieg.

    Deutlich zu reduzieren, legen wir höchsten Wert auf die Einhaltung der Hygienestandards
    sowie den gezielten und durchdachten Einsatz von Antibiotika.
    Wir verwenden modernste intensivmedizinische Behandlungsverfahren nach den aktuellen Empfehlungen der Fachgesellschaften. Unsere Intensivpflege stellt den Patienten in den Mittelpunkt und bindet die Angehörigen mit in den Behandlungsprozess ein. Hier ist
    uns eine enge Kooperation zwischen dem Ärzteteam und den Angehörigen sehr wichtig, um
    den besten Therapieverlauf für unsere Patienten zu gewährleisten. Wir nehmen uns die
    Zeit diese in einem persönlichen Gespräch zu erörtern. Der Wechsel an den Langstreckenstützpunkt zu
    Bundestrainer Bernd Berkhahn erwies sich dann als goldrichtig für Gose.
