देहरादून। जिलाधिकारी सविन बंसल और वरिष्ठ पुलिस अधीक्षक अजय सिंह ने ग्राउंड जीरो पर उतर कर शहर में ट्रैफिक के हालात जाने। उन्होंने मोटरसाइकिल से भ्रमण कर यातायात व्यवस्था का जायजा लिया।
रविवार को भ्रमण के दौरान डीएम और एसएसपी ने घंटाघर, किशन नगर चौक, बल्लूपुर चौक, बल्लीवाला आदि स्थानों का मोटरसाइकिल से भ्रमण किया। साथ ही यातायात दबाव के कारणों और इसे कम करने के संभावित उपायों पर चर्चा की।
डीएम सविन बंसल ने मुख्य मार्गो पर पार्किंग स्थलों को चिन्हित कर वाहनों को उक्त स्थान पर पार्क करवाने के निर्देश दिए। मुख्य मार्ग पर किसी प्रकार का अस्थायी अतिक्रमण न होने देने के संबंध में अधिकारियों को निर्देशित भी किया।
दोनों आलाधिकारी पलटन बाजार के औचक निरीक्षण पर को भी पहुंचे। इस दौरान बाजार में आने वाली महिलाओं व युवतियों की सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से सीएनआई चौक पर महिला सुरक्षा सहायता केंद्र बनाए जाने व केंद्र में बाजार खुलने से बंद होने तक महिला पुलिसकर्मियों व महिला गोरा चीता की नियुक्ति करने के निर्देश दिए गए।
इस दौरान डीएम व एसएसपी द्वारा पलटन बाजार में आयी महिलाओं से बातचीत कर सुरक्षा संबंधी पहलुओं पर उनकी राय जानी। जिसके बाद अधीनस्थ अधिकारियों को महिला सुरक्षा की दृष्टि से बाजार में संवेदनशील स्थानों को चिन्हित कर सीसीटीवी कैमरों की संख्या को बढ़ाने के निर्देश दिए।
