मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने मंगलवार को वाराणसी में केन्द्रीय गृह मंत्री अमित शाह की अध्यक्षता में आयोजित मध्य क्षेत्रीय परिषद की 25वीं बैठक में प्रतिभाग किया। बैठक में उत्तरप्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री योगी आदित्यनाथ, मध्यप्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री मोहन यादव, छत्तीसगढ़ के मुख्यमंत्री विष्णु देव साय एवं मंत्रीगण उपस्थित थे।

मध्य क्षेत्रीय परिषद की बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने राज्य से जुड़े अनेक महत्वपूर्ण मुद्दों को उठाते हुए कहा कि अंतर्राष्ट्रीय सीमाओं से लगा उत्तराखण्ड राज्य सामरिक दृष्टि से भी अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण है। इसके दृष्टिगत राज्य के सीमावर्ती क्षेत्रों में सड़क, संचार, सुरक्षा एवं रसद आपूर्ति की समुचित सुविधाएं उपलब्ध कराना आवश्यक है।

उन्होंने केन्द्रीय गृह मंत्री से आग्रह किया कि सीमा सड़क संगठन के माध्यम से उत्तराखण्ड को और अधिक सहायता प्रदान की जाए। वाईब्रेंट विलेज कार्यक्रम के अंतर्गत राज्य के सीमावर्ती गाँवों में सुविधाओं का विकास किया जाए जिससे वहां हो रहे पलायन को रोकने में सहायता मिल सके। उन्होंने सीमांत क्षेत्रों में संचार सुविधाओं के विकास के लिए भारत नेट योजना, 4-जी विस्तार परियोजना तथा उपग्रह आधारित संचार सेवाएं प्रारंभ करने का भी अनुरोध किया।

मुख्यमंत्री ने बैठक में उत्तराखंड राज्य के हित में केंद्र सरकार से कुछ नीतिगत प्रावधानों में शिथिलता प्रदान करने का भी आग्रह किया। उन्होंने राज्य में प्रधानमंत्री आवास योजना के केंद्रीय अनुदान का आवंटन एकमुश्त किये जाने, प्रधानमंत्री ग्रामीण सड़क योजना के कुशल संचालन हेतु अतिरिक्त सहयोग प्रदान करने, जलवायु परिवर्तन के प्रभावों के अध्ययन के लिए राज्य में एक उच्चस्तरीय ग्लेशियर अध्ययन केंद्र की स्थापना किये जाने और जैव विविधता संरक्षण संस्था की स्थापना के लिए भी केंद्र से तकनीकी सहयोग की मांग की।

मुख्यमंत्री ने राज्य में साहसिक पर्यटन की संभावनाओं को देखते हुए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय साहसिक खेल प्रशिक्षण केंद्र की स्थापना के लिए सहयोग मांगा। उन्होंने उत्तराखण्ड में वर्ष 2026 में नंदा राजजात यात्रा और 2027 में कुम्भ मेले के सफल एवं भव्य आयोजन हेतु केंद्र सरकार से आवश्यक सहयोग प्रदान करने का भी आग्रह किया।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि लगभग 80 प्रतिशत पर्वतीय भू-भाग वाले उत्तराखण्ड राज्य का 71 प्रतिशत क्षेत्र वनों से आच्छादित है। राज्य की जटिल भौगोलिक परिस्थिति तथा विभिन्न प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के कारण राज्य की आर्थिक गतिविधियाँ सीमित हैं। इन प्रतिकूल परिस्थितियों एवं सीमित संसाधनों के बावजूद राज्य की अर्थव्यवस्था में लगभग डेढ़ गुना की वृद्धि हुई है।
