मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने गुरुवार को प्रसिद्ध सिद्धपीठ सुरकंडा देवी मंदिर पहुंचे। मुख्यमंत्री ने मां सुरकंडा देवी के दर्शन कर विधिवत पूजा अर्चना कर देश प्रदेश की सुख समृद्धि एवं खुशहाली की कामना की तथा मंदिर की परिक्रमा भी की।

मुख्यमंत्री ने श्रद्धालुओं के साथ बातचीत कर उनसे यात्रा के संबंध में जानकारी ली। श्रद्धालु अपने बीच मुख्यमंत्री को देखकर काफी खुश नजर आए तथा उन्होंने मुख्यमंत्री के साथ सेल्फी भी ली। मुख्यमंत्री ने स्थानीय दुकानदारों से वार्ता कर उनका हाल चाल जाना। मुख्यमंत्री ने स्थानीय स्वयं सहायता महिला समूहों की महिलाओं द्वारा उत्पादित स्थानीय सामग्री की खरीददारी भी की।

मुख्यमंत्री ने सभी को नववर्ष की शुभकामनाएं देते हुए कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड में शीतकालीन यात्रा प्रारंभ की गई है। जिसमें श्रद्धालु काफी संख्या में आ रहे हैं। उत्तराखण्ड देवभूमि है। राज्य के हर मन्दिर का अपना अलग महत्व है। उन्होंने कहा कि प्रदेश के सभी प्रमुख मंदिरों को शीतकालीन यात्रा हेतु तैयार किया जा रहा है और अधिकांश स्थलों पर तैयारियां पूर्ण कर ली गई है, जिनका असर आज इस श्रद्धालुओं की संख्या को देखकर लगाया जा सकता है।
इस दौरान एसएसपी आयुष अग्रवाल, एडीएम ए.के. पाण्डेय, एएसपी जे. आर. जोशी सहित अन्य गणमान्य एवं श्रद्धालु मौजूद रहे।
