मसूरी में 40 और गोल्फकार्ट चलेंगी, आरईसी फाउंडेशन से 3.36 करोड़ की मदद…

देहरादून, 20 फरवरी। पर्यटन नगरी मसूरी में यातायात व्यवस्था सुधारने और पर्यटकों को सुगम आवागमन सुविधा देने के लिए 40 अतिरिक्त गोल्फकार्ट जल्द संचालित होंगी। इसके लिए जिला प्रशासन और आरईसी फाउंडेशन लिमिटेड के बीच इसी माह समझौता ज्ञापन (एमओयू) पर हस्ताक्षर होंगे।

जिलाधिकारी सविन बंसल के आग्रह पर आरईसी के प्रबंध निदेशक एवं भारत सरकार के अपर सचिव स्तर के अधिकारी देहरादून पहुंचकर औपचारिक एमओयू करेंगे। कार्यक्रम में मसूरी के स्थानीय विधायक और रिक्शा यूनियन के पदाधिकारी भी मौजूद रहेंगे।

जिला प्रशासन द्वारा प्रस्तुत प्रस्ताव पर आरईसी फाउंडेशन ने सीएसआर मद से 3.36 करोड़ रुपये स्वीकृत किए हैं। इस धनराशि से 40 नए गोल्फकार्ट उपलब्ध कराए जाएंगे। जिलाधिकारी ने बताया कि इसका उद्देश्य माल रोड और कैमलबैक रोड पर बढ़ते यातायात दबाव को कम करना, प्रदूषण रहित परिवहन को बढ़ावा देना और पर्यटकों को बेहतर सुविधा देना है।

उन्होंने कहा कि गोल्फकार्ट संचालन से पारंपरिक रिक्शा चालकों की आय में भी वृद्धि होगी। उन्हें संबंधित कंपनी के विशेषज्ञों द्वारा प्रशिक्षण दिया गया है, जिससे वे आधुनिक वाहनों का संचालन कर सकें।

दिसंबर 2024 में मसूरी में गोल्फकार्ट सेवा की शुरुआत चार वाहनों से हुई थी। वर्तमान में 14 गोल्फकार्ट संचालित हो रहे हैं। 40 नए गोल्फकार्ट जुड़ने के बाद इनकी कुल संख्या 54 हो जाएगी।

जिलाधिकारी ने संबंधित विभागों को मार्ग निर्धारण, पार्किंग, चार्जिंग स्टेशन और सुरक्षा मानकों की व्यवस्था समयबद्ध तरीके से पूरी करने के निर्देश दिए हैं। जिला प्रशासन ने इसे मसूरी को स्वच्छ, सुगम और आधुनिक पर्यटन नगर बनाने की दिशा में महत्वपूर्ण कदम बताया है।
