इसके तहत जनपद की सभी चिकित्सा इकाईयों मे जिंक ओआरएस कार्नर की स्थापना कर इन कार्नर के माध्यम से जिंक व ओआरएस पैकेट का निःशुल्क वितरण किया जा रहा है। वहीं अभियान के दौरान डायरिया रोकथाम को लेकर विभिन्न गतिवियां आयोजित की जाएंगी।

अपर मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी डाॅ. सीमा टेकचंदानी ने आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र बेला खुरड़ में बच्चों को ओआरएस पैकेट वितरित कर डायरिया पखवाड़े का शुभारंभ किया। उन्होंने बताया कि शिशु मृत्यु दर में कमी लाने के उद्देश्य से राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन के तत्वावधान में 01 अगस्त से मानसून सत्र तक सघन डायरिया रोकथाम अभियान का आयोजन किया जा रहा है।

राष्ट्रीय स्वास्थ्य मिशन के तत्वावधान में शिशु स्वास्थ्य व मातृ स्वास्थ्य में सुधार के लक्ष्य के साथ 01 अगस्त से 07 अगस्त तक विश्व स्तनपान सप्ताह का आयोजन किया जा रहा है। अपर मुख्य चिकित्सा अधिकारी ने बताया कि मां का दूध शिशु स्वास्थ्य के लिए व्यापक लाभकारी है।

बताया कि इससे शिशु के मानसिक व शारीरिक विकास के साथ-साथ डायरिया, निमोनिया व कुपोषण से बचाव होता है व बच्चे में रोग प्रतिरोधक क्षमता मजबूत होती है।

उन्होंने बताया कि स्तनपान सप्ताह के दौरान जन्म के एक घंटे के भीतर स्तनपान कराने, पहले 06 माह तक केवल मां का दूध पिलाने, 6 माह से बडे शिशुओं व बच्चों को सुरक्षित व स्वस्थ ऊपरी आहार के साथ स्तनपान जारी रखने व स्तनपान कराने के सही तरीके की जानकारी को लेकर जागरूक किया जाएगा व आशाओं द्वारा प्री-लैक्टियल फीड (घुट्टी, पानी, शहद आदि) एवं डब्बे वाले दूध के उपयोग को हतोत्साहित करने को लेकर लक्षित वर्ग को जागरूक किया जाएगा। बताया कि आगामी 07 अगस्त तक आशा कार्यकत्रियां अपने-अपने क्षेत्रों मे बैठकें कर स्तनपान जागरूकता गतिविधि करेंगीं।
