उत्तराखंड में स्थित चारों धामों में प्रतिवर्ष यात्रा काल के दौरान लाखों श्रद्धालु आते हैं। इस यात्रा सीजन में ही चारधाम और हेमकुंड के लिए कुल पंजीकरण की संख्या 44 लाख से अधिक हो चुकी है। इसमें यमुनोत्री धाम के लिए 713456, गंगोत्री के लिए 780554, केदारनाथ के लिए 1443513, बद्रीनाथ के लिए 1336923 और हेमकुंड के लिए 169180 पंजीकरण हुए हैं, जिसमें से अब तक करीब 32 लाख तीर्थयात्री यात्रा पूरी कर चुके हैं। चारधाम यात्रा मार्ग पर इसका सकारात्मक आर्थिक प्रभाव नजर आ रहा है।

इसी क्रम में मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी लगातार, अन्य तीर्थ स्थलों और धामों के भी प्रचार-प्रसार पर जोर देते रहे हैं, ताकि तीर्थयात्रियों के आने से इन क्षेत्रों में भी आर्थिक गतिविधियां तेज हो सके। इसका सकारात्मक असर रुद्रप्रयाग स्थित कार्तिकेय स्वामी मंदिर, उत्तरकाशी स्थित जगन्नाथ मंदिर के साथ ही अन्य मदिंरों में आने वाले यात्रियों की बढ़ती संख्या के रूप में नजर आने लगा है।

आंकड़ों के मुताबिक कार्तिकेय स्वामी मंदिर में गत वर्ष करीब चार लाख तीर्थ यात्री पहुंचे थे, जबकि इस बार यह संख्या जून मध्य तक ही 10 लाख के पार पहुंच गई है। उत्तरकाशी में स्थित जगन्नाथ मंदिर में भी इस वर्ष अब तक 25 हजार तीर्थ यात्री पहुंच चुके हैं। जिस कारण अब चारधाम यात्रा मार्ग की तरह अन्य स्थानों पर भी होटल, रेस्टोरेंट, परिवहन, प्रसाद सहित तमाम तरह की गतिविधियां बढ़ रही हैं। जिससे स्थानीय लोगों की आजीविका को सहारा मिल रहा है।

उत्तराखंड के समग्र विकास के लिए, सभी क्षेत्रों में तीर्थाटन, पर्यटन की गतिविधियां तेज होना जरूरी है। उत्तराखंड देवभूमि है, यहां प्रत्येक देवालय का अपना महत्व है। सरकार सभी तीर्थ स्थलों पर बुनियादी सुविधाओं का विकास करने का प्रयास कर रही है।
