विराट कोहली टेस्ट क्रिकेट में 9000 रन बनाने वाले चौथे भारतीय हैं। राहुल द्रविड़, सचिन तेंदुलकर और सुनील गावस्कर ये कारनामा पहले कर चुके हैं। द्रविड़ ने 176 पारियों में 9000 टेस्ट रन पूरे किए थे, सचिन ने 179 पारियों में ये कारनामा किया, गावस्कर को 192 पारियां लगी और विराट ने 197 पारी में 9000 टेस्ट रन पूरे किए। विराट कोहली ने टेस्ट क्रिकेट में सबसे ज्यादा 2042 रन ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ बनाए हैं। इसके अलावा इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ उनके नाम 1991 रन हैं। साउथ अफ्रीका, श्रीलंका और वेस्टइंडीज के खिलाफ भी उनके एक हजार से ज्यादा रन हैं।
