देहरादून/नई दिल्ली। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने रविवार को नई दिल्ली में केंद्रीय विद्युत मंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर से मुलाकात कर उत्तराखंड की ऊर्जा आवश्यकताओं, जल विद्युत परियोजनाओं, पम्प्ड स्टोरेज, बैटरी एनर्जी स्टोरेज सिस्टम (BESS) और पिटकुल की एडीबी सहायतित पारेषण परियोजना समेत विभिन्न मुद्दों पर चर्चा की।
मुख्यमंत्री ने जुलाई 2026 की शेष अवधि के लिए 150 मेगावाट तथा अगस्त 2026 के लिए 200 मेगावाट अतिरिक्त बिजली केंद्रीय पूल से उपलब्ध कराने का अनुरोध किया। उन्होंने कहा कि एल-नीनो की संभावित परिस्थितियों, कम वर्षा और जलाशयों में जलागम घटने से जल विद्युत उत्पादन प्रभावित हो सकता है, जबकि चारधाम और कांवड़ यात्रा के दौरान बिजली की मांग बढ़ने की संभावना है।
सीएम धामी ने उत्तराखंड को पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों की तर्ज पर जल विद्युत परियोजनाओं के लिए विशेष वित्तीय सहायता देने का भी आग्रह किया। उन्होंने राज्य में लगभग 10 गीगावाट पम्प्ड स्टोरेज क्षमता विकसित करने के लिए अगले पांच वर्षों में 7,800 करोड़ रुपये की केंद्रीय सहायता या वायबिलिटी गैप फंडिंग (VGF) उपलब्ध कराने की मांग रखी।
बैठक में बैटरी एनर्जी स्टोरेज सिस्टम (BESS) की स्वीकृत क्षमता 500 मेगावाट आवर से बढ़ाकर 665 मेगावाट आवर करने और इसके अनुरूप केंद्रीय सहायता देने का अनुरोध भी किया गया।
मुख्यमंत्री ने 3,638.26 करोड़ रुपये की लागत वाली पिटकुल की एडीबी सहायतित पारेषण परियोजना पर भी चर्चा की। उन्होंने परियोजना के लिए एडीबी ऋण और राज्यांश का मूल 80:20 वित्तीय पैटर्न यथावत रखने का आग्रह करते हुए कहा कि इसमें बदलाव होने पर उत्तराखंडी को विशेष श्रेणी राज्य के रूप में मिलने वाले वित्तीय लाभ प्रभावित होंगे।
मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखंड की जल विद्युत क्षमता विकसित भारत और ऊर्जा आत्मनिर्भर भारत के लक्ष्य को मजबूत करेगी। केंद्रीय विद्युत मंत्री मनोहर लाल खट्टर ने मुख्यमंत्री द्वारा रखे गए प्रस्तावों पर सकारात्मक कार्रवाई का आश्वासन दिया।
