देहरादून, 05 मई। मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने कहा है कि उत्तराखण्ड को भारतीय ज्ञान-विज्ञान, संस्कृति और अध्यात्म का वैश्विक केंद्र बनाने की दिशा में तेजी से कार्य किया जा रहा है। इसी क्रम में ऋषिकुल स्थित श्री मदन मोहन मालवीय प्राच्य शोध संस्थान को विश्वस्तरीय स्वरूप दिया जाएगा।

मंगलवार को सचिवालय में आयोजित उच्च स्तरीय बैठक में मुख्यमंत्री ने संस्थान के समग्र विकास और विस्तार योजनाओं की समीक्षा करते हुए अधिकारियों को निर्देश दिए कि कार्य शीघ्र शुरू कर आगामी कुंभ से पहले पूर्ण किया जाए। उन्होंने पर्यटन विभाग को नोडल विभाग बनाते हुए प्रमुख सचिव आर.के. सुधांशु को नियमित प्रगति की निगरानी के निर्देश भी दिए।

मुख्यमंत्री ने कहा कि उत्तराखण्ड ऋषियों, ज्ञान और वैज्ञानिक परंपरा की भूमि रही है। इस संस्थान के माध्यम से भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा, प्राचीन विज्ञान, संस्कृति और आधुनिक शोध को एक मंच पर लाया जाएगा। उन्होंने निर्देश दिए कि संस्थान में वैदिक गणित, वेदों में निहित विज्ञान, उपनिषदों का दर्शन, भारतीय तर्कशास्त्र, पर्यावरण विज्ञान और जीवन मूल्यों पर आधारित आधुनिक शोध व्यवस्थाएं विकसित की जाएं।

उन्होंने प्राचीन भारतीय वैज्ञानिकों आर्यभट्ट, ब्रह्मगुप्त और वराहमिहिर के योगदान को शिक्षा और शोध से जोड़ने पर जोर देते हुए खगोल विज्ञान, धातु विज्ञान, कृषि विज्ञान और पर्यावरण संरक्षण जैसे विषयों पर विशेष अध्ययन केंद्र स्थापित करने के निर्देश दिए।

बैठक में संस्थान को योग, आयुर्वेद, ज्योतिष, पर्यटन और भारतीय विद्या के विभिन्न आयामों के समेकित केंद्र के रूप में विकसित करने पर भी चर्चा हुई। प्रस्तावित ढांचे में श्रुति केंद्र, दर्शन केंद्र, आयु केंद्र, विज्ञान केंद्र और कला केंद्र के माध्यम से भारतीय ज्ञान परंपरा को जीवंत रूप में प्रस्तुत किया जाएगा।
