उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार भी देवभूमि उत्तराखंड की सांस्कृतिक विरासत को संरक्षित और विकसित करने के लिए निरंतर प्रयासरत है। केदारखंड और मानसखंड के मंदिरों के सौंदर्यीकरण के साथ ही हरिपुर कालसी में यमुनातीर्थ के पुनरुद्धार का कार्य किया जा रहा है। इसके अलावा हरिद्वार-ऋषिकेश कॉरिडोर और शारदा कॉरिडोर जैसी परियोजनाओं के माध्यम से श्रद्धालुओं के लिए आधुनिक सुविधाओं का विकास किया जा रहा है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने बताया कि दून विश्वविद्यालय में ‘सेंटर फॉर हिन्दू स्टडीज’ की स्थापना कर भारतीय संस्कृति, दर्शन और इतिहास के अध्ययन को बढ़ावा दिया जा रहा है। उन्होंने कहा कि राज्य सरकार सनातन मूल्यों की रक्षा के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। इसी क्रम में धर्मांतरण विरोधी कानून लागू किया गया है और समानता व न्याय की स्थापना के लिए समान नागरिक संहिता लागू करने का ऐतिहासिक निर्णय लिया गया है।
