मुख्यमंत्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी से आज मुख्यमंत्री आवास में भारत सरकार के केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री (जल शक्ति मंत्रालय) डॉ. राज भूषण चौधरी ने शिष्टाचार भेंट की। इस अवसर पर राज्य एवं केंद्र के बीच जल संसाधन प्रबंधन, पेयजल योजनाओं, सिंचाई, स्वच्छ जल उपलब्धता और उत्तराखंड की भौगोलिक परिस्थितियों के अनुरूप जल संरक्षण से जुड़े विभिन्न महत्वपूर्ण विषयों पर सकारात्मक एवं सार्थक चर्चा हुई।

भेंट के दौरान मुख्यमंत्री श्री पुष्कर सिंह धामी ने उत्तराखंड की पर्वतीय भौगोलिक संरचना, जल स्रोतों की संवेदनशीलता और राज्य में सतत जल प्रबंधन की आवश्यकता पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला। उन्होंने कहा कि उत्तराखंड न केवल देश की प्रमुख नदियों का उद्गम स्थल है, बल्कि “जल जीवन मिशन” और अन्य केंद्रीय योजनाओं के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन के माध्यम से राज्य सरकार हर घर तक स्वच्छ पेयजल पहुंचाने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है।

मुख्यमंत्री ने केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री को अवगत कराया कि राज्य सरकार केंद्र सरकार के सहयोग से पेयजल आपूर्ति, जल संरक्षण, वर्षा जल संचयन और सिंचाई परियोजनाओं को प्राथमिकता के साथ आगे बढ़ा रही है। उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि पर्वतीय क्षेत्रों में जल स्रोतों के पुनर्जीवन और परंपरागत जल संरचनाओं के संरक्षण पर विशेष ध्यान दिया जा रहा है, ताकि भविष्य की पीढ़ियों के लिए जल सुरक्षा सुनिश्चित की जा सके।

केंद्रीय राज्य मंत्री डॉ. राज भूषण चौधरी ने उत्तराखंड में जल शक्ति मंत्रालय की विभिन्न योजनाओं के प्रभावी क्रियान्वयन की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि केंद्र सरकार उत्तराखंड जैसे हिमालयी राज्य की विशेष आवश्यकताओं को ध्यान में रखते हुए हर संभव सहयोग प्रदान कर रही है। उन्होंने जल जीवन मिशन, नमामि गंगे, जल संरक्षण और स्वच्छता से जुड़ी योजनाओं में राज्य सरकार के प्रयासों की प्रशंसा की।

इस दौरान मुख्यमंत्री एवं केंद्रीय मंत्री के बीच राज्य में भविष्य की जल परियोजनाओं, केंद्र–राज्य समन्वय को और सुदृढ़ करने तथा जल संसाधनों के सतत उपयोग को लेकर भी विचार-विमर्श हुआ। इस अवसर पर मुख्यमंत्री श्री धामी ने विश्वास व्यक्त किया कि केंद्र सरकार के सहयोग से उत्तराखंड जल प्रबंधन के क्षेत्र में एक मॉडल राज्य के रूप में उभरकर सामने आएगा।
