जनपद में शीतकालीन पर्यटन को बढ़ावा देने तथा अधिक से अधिक पर्यटकों को आकर्षित करने के उद्देश्य से जिलाधिकारी आकांक्षा कोंडे ने मंगलवार को कलेक्ट्रेट सभागार में संबंधित विभागों के साथ बैठक कर आवश्यक निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने कहा कि पर्यटन की अपार संभावनाओं का योजनाबद्ध विकास कर जनपद को शीतकालीन पर्यटन के प्रमुख गंतव्य के रूप में स्थापित किया जाए।

जिलाधिकारी ने उतरायणी मेले में विंटर टूरिज्म स्टॉल स्थापित कर पर्यटकों का डेटा संकलन, जनपद भ्रमण हेतु 3–4 दिवसीय बागेश्वर ट्रैवल पैकेज तैयार करने तथा मेले के प्रचार-प्रसार हेतु डॉक्यूमेंट्री एवं शॉर्ट रील्स तैयार करने के निर्देश दिए। उन्होंने 5 दिवसीय राष्ट्रीय पैराग्लाइडिंग एक्युरेसी चैंपियनशिप के प्रभावी आयोजन एवं व्यापक प्रचार पर भी जोर दिया।

बैठक में वन डिस्ट्रिक्ट वन मेला योजना के अंतर्गत उतरायणी मेला एवं कौसानी कार्निवल का प्रस्ताव शासन को भेजने तथा कुमाऊं मंडल विकास निगम, बैजनाथ को वेडिंग डेस्टिनेशन के रूप में विकसित करने के निर्देश भी दिए गए।

बैठक में मुख्य विकास अधिकारी आर.सी. तिवारी, अपर जिलाधिकारी एन.एस. नबियाल, डीटीडीओ पी.के. गौतम सहित संबंधित विभागों के अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
